Children's PartiesLady Madelyn's Tea Parlor is the venue for eight new little lady parties. And because we know that little gents like to visit Patricia's also, we can create a special event to his liking. Click on each link for details of:
Party details:One and one half hour parties can be scheduled at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Lady Madelyn's Tea Room can accommodate six guests plus the honoree. $20 per guest (plus tax and gratuity) A $25 deposit is required at the time of booking. Lady Patricia can also print and mail out invitations for an additional charge of $1.50 each plus postage. The PartiesAlice in Wonderland PartyThis party follows the adventures of Alice in an Alice in Wonderland setting. The honoree will be given a blue dress with white apron to wear during the activities. The hostess for the party will be the Queen of Hearts. The White Hare will also make an appearance. If the weather permits, guests will play croquet in the Victorian garden complete with flamingo croquet mallets! The "Alice" tea will be held backwards with the birthday cake served first. The rest of the tea will follow the story line. Guests will drink from bottles. Two games following the story line will be played with prizes being awarded. Guests will receive a story-related favor to take home from the unbelievable event!!! Christmas Nutcracker TeaThis tea can only be held from the week after Thanksgiving till the end of December. The guest shall come dressed in their Christmas finery!!! A beautiful presentation of holiday appropriate refreshments will laden the tea table and a storyteller will present the Nutcracker story. Each guest will leave with a bag of sugar plums and a favor that will pertain to the Nutcracker Story. The Garden of Fairies PartyThis party will have to be held in warm weather. It is age appropriate for guests between the ages of 4 to 8 years of age. White sheet tenting will be strung throughout the Victorian Garden. Guests will be given crowns to adorn their heads and little tulle skirts and fairy wings. The activities will be conducted by the Good Fairy of Make-Believe. A storyteller will conduct the magical adventure of the good fairies. The fairies will crawl throughout the tented Land of Make-believe Appropriate refreshments will be served in the tented area. The Good Fairy of Make-believe will conduct two activities with prizes being given. Each guest will take home an appropriate gift that all good fairies would want to receive from Land of Make Believe. Little Miss Dress-up TeaThe age for this party can be from six years to 12 years and older. Guests will arrive to dress up in clothes, hats, jewelry, gloves, and purses. Light makeup: blush, eye shadow and lipstick will be applied. The hostess will conduct two games with prizes being given. According to the age of the guests, some etiquette instruction will be provided. A tea table will be presented with age appropriate food selections. Each guest will take home a little tea cup and saucer. Little Kitty Spa PartyThis party can be attended by young ladies from the age of five years to ten years of age. The young ladies are kept busy doing what they love best -- being little ladies! The core of this party will be to encourage young ladies to realize that when they feel confident and happy on the inside, they will glow on the outside also. Each guest will be given a towel wrap to wear during the party and a pillow to lounge upon. During the event, the guests will be given a treated cleansing cloth for their face and hands. A light facial mask will be applied and cucumber slices will be applied to their eyes. At this time, the guest will lounge and be treated to a hand soak. They will then have creme applied to their hands and they will wear spa gloves on their hands while their feet are rubbed down with lotion and spa booties applied. The facial mask will then be removed and a moisture creme applied to their faces. Nail polish and nail art will be applied to the finger- and toenails of each guest. At the time, the guests will be offered a variety of fruit juices and bottled water. There will be a variety of fresh fruits along with finger sandwiches. If this is a birthday party, cupcakes will be served and presents will be opened at this time. An appropriate favor will be given to each guest. Miss Potts Tea PartyThis gathering was created for little girls between the ages of three to five years of age. A hostess dressed as Mrs. Potts will welcome the young guests to the tea party. Because it is difficult to hold the attention of young ladies in this age group, Ms. Potts will lead the group in learning the song "I'm a Little Teapot." The group will play two activity games. Each guest will receive a prize for the games. The guests will be served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into a teapot shape. There will be grapes on the plates as well as sugar cookies cut into cup shapes. Apple juice will be served in little white teapots. The guests will drink from small teacups. Guests will take home favors of a small china tea cup. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras so that they may send photos to the guest after the party. Princess PartyThis party is open to young girls from the age of four to twelve years of age. The guests are greeted by the fairy godmother. Each guest will select attire of their choice and have light make-up applied: blush, eye shadow, nail polish and nail art. A "Princess Coronation" will then be held with each princess being crowned with a tiara. Two games will be conducted by the fairy godmother with prizes being awarded. The tea table will be very elegant and guests will be served appropriate refreshments according to their age. Each guest will take home a tiara and appropriate favors. Victorian Miss PartyThis party is for young ladies between the ages of 10 and 12 years or older. The guests will be able to select from a variety of shawls, hats, jewelry and handbags. The guests can also come dressed in their own Victorian outfits. A Victorian era hostess will work with the young ladies in attendance. The young ladies will make "Tussie Mussies" and will write notes with quill ink pens. An appropriate "Queen Victorian Tea" will be provided for the guests along with some historical facts about the Victorian era. Guests will take home a hand fan, several antique buttons and a teacup and saucer.
