Glass Centerpiece Bowl

Central dilemma of the wedding! Help please!?

My wedding will be a beach / dolphin theme for the centerpiece and I want to use a glass bubble bowl filled with sand and seashells and a candle, a little like the picture on the link. My boyfriend and my mother said they would like floating candles, so I added water the glass and sand and everything was cloudy, we hope to set up but never really fully clarified. One thing about the sand, check with your place to ensure that permits before arriving at its heart set on it. It can damage hardwood floors, if the place has. My place does not recommend sand or rose petals on the tables, as recently refinished wood floors of their old expensive. If you're in the clear, then try sand art. I saw an ad on television once this sand that hardens under water so that water does not get cloudy, but when you take it out of the water is completely dry. Not sure if it works or not I think its called Magic Sand. The other things I've seen it called Moon Sand and modeled as a material that looks, feels and acts like sand moist, but not really wet and water repellent. You could mold to the bottom of the bowls and pour the water on top of it.
