Hospitality is the gift of ones self to others. It is an enjoyable
way to take time to share and make people welcome, special and cared about.
Abigails
Parlor is a private dining room away from the hustle and bustle of the
main Dodd Room. As such, it is the perfect setting for creating
memories. Let it become the destination place for those bridal and baby
showers, bridal luncheons, any occasion that merits a special gathering
of family and friends. There is no charge for the use of the lovely room
that opens into the Victorian garden.
For a minimum charge Lady Patricia can create and design invitations
to fit the special occasion. We even mail them out for you!
Your luncheon guest can choose from the menu or you as hostess, may decide
on a preset menu. For bridal and baby showers, various cakes from the
sweet Treat Bakery are presented along with tea punch and various hot
teas and coffees.
Sip and See Tea
A social event that has become quite popular in Abigails Parlor
is the Sip and See Tea given by grandmothers who are presenting
their grandchildren for the first time in the community. A grandmothers
show and tell time.
Guest
are encouraged to outfit themselves from various hats, purses and gloves
that are displayed in the room.
Frills and feathers, jewelry & parasols
Sipping tea from pretty
cups and being---Oh-so-grown-up
Let the little girl in your life
or the little girl inside of you experience the magic hour of make-believe
with a tea party in Lady Abigails Parlor
Miniature serving
pieces are provided to add to the enjoyment of teatime, with each guest
receiving a gift when leaving.
Grandmother
Teas
Some of our most precious tea parties are those hosted for just a grandmother
and her granddaughter. Grandmother Teas can be scheduled to meet those
special times when your princess is visiting.
The Perfect Setting
Abigails Parlor is ideal for ladies bible study groups, club gatherings,
or business meetings. The Red Hat Societies use the room weekly, to the
delight of the other guests in the Dodd Room for they love to hear the
laughter and see the wonderful fashions that the society ladies parade
around in.
