New in 2007!

I'm very excited to announce the opening of a new room this year. By the time you read this, I hope to have Lady Madelyn's Tea Library ready for guests.

Named in honor of my adorable new grandbaby, this lovely little room seats only four, making it the perfect place for a very special Grandmother's Tea. The room is stocked with little girl tea sets & books, and your special little girl will be allowed to choose which special tea set she's like to serve tea from.

Advance reservations are not required, but are highly recommended.

The Beginning

My goal in creating Patricia’s Tearoom in Dexter, Missouri, was to provide a sanctuary for women, a place that provides a soothing atmosphere that, when accompanied by a little pot of tea, is especially welcome in this hectic world.

I relate my want of a tea room to friendship. As women who lead very hectic lives, many of us, even though the want is very strong, do not take the time to truly savor the comfort and simplicity of friendship. We may go on shopping trips, talk, talk, talk..have a quick sandwich, maybe a nice lunch…but we are always on the go.

As I grow older and see how fast the days are rushing by, I realize how seldom we take time for ourselves…to stop, relax, and enjoy a moment alone or in personal conversation without having to worry about jumping up and rushing on with our lives.

I hope that you will spend a few minutes exploring the variety of treasures to be found within these pages. Like Patricia’s Tearoom itself, which is located on Cox’s Corner in Historic Downtown Dexter, Missouri, this website is designed to please the eye and delight the senses.

So prepare a cup of tea and spend some tea-lightful moments with us.
